Hearthstone®: Heroes of WarcraftTM Pro Player Stream Moving to Wednesdays

NVIDIA Hearthstone Pro/Am tournament players will be using Blackrock Mountain decks as launched by Blizzard

SANTA CLARA, California —April 6, 2015 — Starting this Wednesday, April 8, professional player streaming matches on Team NVIDIA’s Twitch channel are moving to Wednesdays from 8:00am to Noon (Pacific).  Additionally, the NVIDIA Hearthstone Pro/Am tournament will allow the new Blackrock Mountain decks to be used in both the pro and amateur conferences.  The schedule change enables pro players to have six days of playing time with the new Blackrock Mountain deck releases before competing.

“The community is really excited about the launch of the Blackrock Mountain decks,” said James Grunke, Director of Global E-sports for NVIDIA, “It makes sense to move the schedule so the Hearthstone viewers can see how pro players have effectively integrated the new cards into their game.”

Group stage gameplay will run through May 14.  The tournament finals will be held on May 30-31 when the top-16 professional players face off against the top-16 amateur players for their share of the $25,000 prize pool in a best-of-five, single-elimination bracket playoff.
